Fault Lines was made in competition for ‘That Film Festival 2019’ with a supplied script which could be adapted. We chose to frame the supplied script as the audition script and played with the dynamics in the room relating to the material. The judges were impressed with the film and approach, and the film won 1st place overall.

The incredible location we found in Dalston created the perfect backdrop for a story about grandiose egos, where ‘Amanda’ auditions for a film about racism, only to encounter many of the issues the script clumsily seeks to address.

Fault Lines

As a director, David was as comfortable communicating with the cast as he was with his crew. It’s obvious he has an eye for curating and building relationships with great talent.
— Nick Nevern, Actor
David’s unique interpretation of a ‘script within a script’ was different, funny, exceptionally cast & well-edited, and there was a clear winner on votes.
