This short documentary was created to provide a snapshot glimpse into the daily rhythm of life for traditional fishermen in Kerala, South India, using 800 year old Chinese net technology.

Nestled into a world of mass industrialisation, accelerating habitat destruction and pollution, this close-knit community still lives at the mercy of the river, surviving hand-to-mouth and working long hours to feed their families. They welcomed us in, allowing us to witness the seemingly chaotic yet highly efficient auction process where fortunes can be won and lost at the simple twitch of an eyebrow.
